Chorus was founded by Ellie Hunter in 2020. Chorus seeks to expand visibility and access to the arts through thoughtfully placed public artworks, site-specific public engagement, and community programming.

Hunter received a BA in Studio Art & Latin American Studies from Dartmouth College and an MFA in Sculpture from VCU. Hunter worked at 356 Mission gallery before going on to start her own gallery, The Sunroom, in 2016, and has vast experience working with artists to realize exhibitions and commissions, both public and private. She’s also worked as a teaching artist and served on the board of Inner-City Arts and Wide Rainbow, both 501c3s which work to expand access to arts education. She created Chorus to rethink how art can be brought to public spaces to maximize access and visibility.
